To enhance stoma care, prevent leakage, and improve patient quality of life.
Background
Managing stomas on large wound bursts presents significant challenges, including discomfort and leakage.
Methods
Modified stoma cones, necrotic tissue removal, PHMB gauzes, and transparent films for attachment.
Results
Improved patient comfort, reduced odor, increased stoma bag wearing duration, and complete wound closure in 35 days.
Conclusion
Innovative techniques for stoma care significantly enhance healing and patient satisfaction.
Lessons Learnt
Integrated wound and stoma care improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
