To provide purposeful rehabilitation, foster camaraderie, and promote volunteerism among seniors through fun adaptive physical games
Background
Aimed to encourage active participation and rehabilitation among seniors with adaptive games
Methods
Four physical games were tailored for high and low functioning clients; music therapy sessions and social activities
Results
26 medals awarded, participants showed enhanced physical health and social interaction
Conclusion
Future plans to make the event annual and to further enhance inter-center collaboration
Lessons Learnt
Cross-group interaction and collaboration were key to success; event planning required coordination and commitment
