About this Content
Aims
To increase the confidence and knowledge of NUHS Primary Care Network PHPs in diabetic foot screening through virtual training.
Background
PHPs had limited knowledge and confidence in diabetic foot screening (DFS), which increased risks of delayed interventions.
Methods
Conducted virtual workshops, pre- and post-training surveys, and disseminated resources such as MOH ACG guidelines.
Results
Confidence in DFS increased from 26.7% to 70.8%; 79.2% of participants committed to incorporating DFS in their practice.
Conclusion
Virtual workshops effectively improved DFS knowledge and confidence; plans for ongoing training are underway.
Lessons Learnt
Virtual platforms provide accessible training but require complementary practical sessions for skill enhancement.
