Aims
To align procedures and protocols for two CTFs in SKH campus to ensure efficient decant of COVID-19 patients.
Background
Two CTFs with different operators required streamlined processes to manage patient decants efficiently.
Methods
Revised workflows with on-site admission criteria, bypassing CMTG processes, to speed up patient transfers.
Results
Reduced transfer times from 3-4 hours to 45 minutes, saving 260 beds for acute care and accepting 2,170 patients.
Conclusion
Aligned processes improved efficiency, capacity management, and patient care in the COVID-19 response.
Lessons Learnt
Streamlining workflows between operators enables efficient care delivery, maximizing resource use.
