Aims
To transform practice by training podiatrists to conduct "What Matters to You" (WMTY) conversations for improved patient-centered care.
Background
WMTY enables better behavioral change management for podiatry patients with chronic diseases.
Methods
Conducted staff training and evaluated post-training results at 3 and 6 months.
Results
At 3 months: 71% staff used WMTY; at 6 months: 29% staff used WMTY. Positive patient feedback declined as WMTY usage decreased.
Conclusion
WMTY conversations enhance patient engagement but require ongoing practice and reinforcement for long-term success.
Lessons Learnt
Continuous reinforcement of WMTY practice is necessary to sustain its effectiveness.
