About this Content
Aims
The aim of the project is to enhance care efficiency through the automation of clinical quality metrics.
Background
The manual process of gathering, compiling, and verifying care and clinical quality data across nine centres consumed significant time and effort, reducing the capacity for proactive quality improvement initiatives and detracting from direct patient care.
Methods
The project involved the introduction of a centralized, automated system that provides real-time tracking of key clinical quality indicators. The Power BI dashboard integrates historical data, benchmarks performance, and includes branch-specific filters for targeted interventions.
Results
The project significantly reduced time spent on administrative tasks, improved data accuracy, and enabled prompt responses to emerging trends. Reporting time was reduced to five minutes per day, saving 3-5 days per month, with annual labor savings of SGD 12,262.
Conclusion
The Clinical and Care Quality Dashboard is designed to meet current needs while preparing the organization for future demands, supporting long-term operational and environmental sustainability.
Lessons Learnt
Early involvement of managers and nurses was critical to addressing operational needs. Iterative testing minimized disruptions and increased user confidence. Accessible resources and comprehensive training enhanced adoption.
