Reinforce employee safety in the workplace and involve management in ISO 45001 OH&S implementation.
Background
The hospital aimed to migrate to ISO 45001 to sustain and improve the health and safety culture.
Methods
Applied the PDCA cycle, conducted multiple training sessions, and integrated ISO 45001 into hospital processes.
Results
Achieved ISO 45001 certification in August 2019 with cost savings of $10,000 and sustained workplace injury rate reductions.
Conclusion
The implementation of ISO 45001 enhanced safety culture and showcased sustainable development in health and safety management.
Lessons Learnt
Internal capabilities ensure cost savings and strengthen organizational competency for OH&S.
