Background
Increasing TKR surgeries among aging residents highlighted a need for tailored activity recovery guidance.
Methods
Interviews with TKR clients, consensus-building among healthcare professionals, and local adaptations of activities.
Results
Identified barriers, enablers, and six meaningful activities for TKR recovery. Published a recovery guideline.
Conclusion
The guideline reduces advice and practice variation in TKR recovery, enhancing patient experience and healthcare professional consistency.
Lessons Learnt
Collaboration and early planning are key to resuming meaningful activity participation.
