Reduce submission time of CP-CRE positive lab reports by 90% within 3 months.
Background
Time to provide CP-CRE reports to AMK-THKH averaged 19 hours, causing delays in patient transfers.
Methods
Conducted PDSA cycles, revised workflows, eliminated unnecessary steps, and used IRMS for efficiency.
Results
Reduced time from 19 hours to 0.125 hours (99.3% improvement); saved 327.2 bed days annually.
Conclusion
Improved efficiency in CP-CRE report submission; successfully replicated workflows across community hospitals.
Lessons Learnt
Workflow simplifications and digital tools significantly enhance efficiency and patient care transitions.
