Methods
PDCA methodology was applied with interventions including clinician awareness, default admission updates, and performance reporting.
Results
Increased performance for ≤ 1-day LOS from 70.6% to 86.8%; reduced average LOS from 1.9 days to 1.3 days, saving $262,800 annually.
Conclusion
Enhanced LOS performance and achieved substantial cost savings, showing scalability potential.
Lessons Learnt
Multiphase interventions with consistent stakeholder collaboration significantly improved outcomes.
