Aims
To provide person-centered dementia care by addressing isolation, boredom, loneliness, and despair.
Background
Dementia stages lead to progressive decline; addressing stress thresholds is crucial to improve care quality and outcomes.
Methods
Built a care framework using the Progressively Lowered Stress Threshold model (PLST) and conducted targeted interventions.
Results
Maintained cognitive, social, and leisure activity status for 50 residents with dementia; improvement in BADL observed.
Conclusion
The framework improved resident engagement, satisfaction, and care outcomes, setting a model for similar eldercare initiatives.
Lessons Learnt
Empirical evidence supports the effectiveness of tailored interventions in dementia care frameworks.
