Aims
Examine patient profiles referred for music therapy (MT); explore efficacy and frequency during cancer treatment.
Background
Music Therapy addresses anxiety, low mood, and pain as part of psychosocial and supportive care.
Methods
Prospective cohort study with 25 participants aged 2-17 years using individualized SMART goals and GAS framework.
Results
MT sessions improved mood regulation; positive correlation found between goals set and sessions conducted; effective across age groups.
Conclusion
MT is a vital and effective intervention in pediatric cancer care for improving psychosocial well-being.
Lessons Learnt
Interdisciplinary collaboration and tailored interventions ensure better patient outcomes.
