Aims
To observe and compare the impact of Face-to-Face (F2F) vs Telehealth art and music therapy sessions on doctors' self-care.
Background
Art and music therapy offer mental health benefits, and telehealth emerged as an alternative during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods
Conducted a survey after single F2F and telehealth sessions. Sessions included mindfulness, music improvisation, art-making, and group reflections.
Results
All participants rated 4–5 on a 5-point Likert scale for self-care improvements. Telehealth was equally impactful as F2F sessions.
Conclusion
Art and music therapy, whether F2F or Telehealth, is effective in facilitating doctors’ self-care.
Lessons Learnt
Telehealth can achieve similar therapeutic outcomes as face-to-face sessions, improving accessibility for doctors.
