Competency assessments for 500 MOT nurses consumed significant time and resources, necessitating process improvements.
Methods
Introduced streamlined workflows using REDCap, eliminated paper-based checklists, and implemented structured competency tracking systems.
Results
Reduced assessment time to 41.47 minutes per staff, achieving a total time savings of 186,615 minutes annually and SGD 123,165 in manpower costs.
Conclusion
Streamlining competency processes increases efficiency and aligns with SGH's quality improvement and sustainability goals.
Lessons Learnt
Improved tracking systems and streamlined workflows significantly reduce time and costs while enhancing compliance and resource allocation.
