Limited understanding of MSW services among SHP staff affected patient care and referrals.
Methods
Developed and piloted a board game simulating patient journeys, with pre- and post-game evaluations.
Results
Increased staff knowledge of MSW services (financial/non-financial) by over 30% and improved confidence in referring patients to MSW.
Conclusion
The board game is a sustainable, engaging tool for staff training and interprofessional education.
Lessons Learnt
