Aims
Support healthcare staff by engaging volunteers to perform non-clinical tasks, improving focus on patient care.
Background
During COVID-19, volunteer programmes were redesigned to support hospital and community needs.
Methods
Recruited, trained, and deployed 100 volunteers using a structured methodology and engagement model.
Results
Over 1,211 volunteer hours contributed, benefiting 7,000 patients across 12 programmes.
Conclusion
Successfully redeployed volunteers to support healthcare services and community initiatives.
Lessons Learnt
Structured volunteer management improves engagement, retention, and operational efficiency.
