Aims
To reduce overall waiting time for consultation and improve patient experience while enhancing staff efficiency.
Background
Traditional ED triage and registration were time-intensive and dependent on manpower.
Methods
Introduced the Self-Triage and Registration Kiosk (STARK) for patients with minor conditions (P3) using automation.
Results
Reduced registration time from 47 minutes to 3 minutes for eligible patients; improved staff satisfaction.
Conclusion
Technology-driven solutions like STARK transform patient care and improve ED efficiency.
Lessons Learnt
Automation optimizes resources and reduces waiting time while maintaining patient safety.
