Aims
To ensure patient safety by implementing a Patient Photo ID & Document Repository System.
Background
Impersonation incidents in patient services prompted enhanced safety measures using visual identifiers.
Methods
Integrated photo capture during registration; photos were accessible across OAS, pharmacy, and queue systems.
Results
Captured 60,000 photos, enhanced patient identification, and improved staff familiarity with regular patients.
Conclusion
Scalable across SingHealth institutions, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
Lessons Learnt
Multidisciplinary collaboration supports efficient implementation and safety improvements.
