Background
Lifting 10-15kg PD fluid bags posed risk for work-related musculoskeletal disorders.
Methods
Multi-disciplinary approach with rapid prototyping, workflow redesign, and implementation of peristaltic pumps.
Results
Manual lifting eliminated; time-efficient and spill-free drainage process implemented.
Conclusion
A safe, efficient, and ergonomic drainage solution was implemented successfully.
Lessons Learnt
Collaborative innovation and ergonomic solutions can eliminate work-related injuries.
