Methods
Prospective longitudinal study of 187 women; assessed incontinence at 3, 8, and 12 months post-delivery.
Results
24% experienced urinary incontinence at 12 months; identified risk factors like pre-delivery incontinence, baby weight, and delivery method.
Conclusion
Early identification of risk factors allows targeted interventions to mitigate postpartum incontinence.
Lessons Learnt
Ensure sufficient participants for subgroup analysis; reduce data loss with better participant contact strategies.
