Doctors unfamiliar with the Laserex Tango machine caused delays in YAG procedures.
Methods
Created visual cues to guide doctors in machine operation, tested and revised cues in multiple cycles.
Results
Reduced patient waiting time by 36% (to 6.1 minutes); increased satisfaction to 100% in the second cycle.
Conclusion
Visual cues reduce preparation time, enhance independence, and improve patient experiences.
Lessons Learnt
Visual cues are an effective way to increase productivity and reduce errors in medical procedures.
