Methods
Created unique charge codes, defined roles for OT Admin and Finance, reduced redundant requests, and streamlined processes.
Results
Reduced open charge codes by 52% as of 30 Jun 2019; 211 unique charge codes were created.
Conclusion
Standardised processes and new charge codes successfully reduced the reliance on open codes for consumables.
Lessons Learnt
Constant communication of correct information to all stakeholders reduced process gaps and improved billing accuracy.
