Methods
Root cause analysis identified catheter handling issues. Solutions included securement devices, education, reminders, and audits.
Results
CAUTI rates reduced to 2.5 per 1,000 catheter days; compliance improved through audits and securement tools.
Conclusion
Multidisciplinary collaboration successfully reduced CAUTI rates and improved care quality.
Lessons Learnt
Proper anchorage and education reduced CAUTI. Training all healthcare staff was critical to sustaining improvements.
