Aims
Redefine what it means to live meaningfully, even at the end of life.
Background
Traditional day hospices operated with one-size-fits-all models, often sacrificing patient preferences.
Methods
Developed a progressive model offering tailored activities (e.g., horticulture, beauty services, movie theatre, and family visits).
Results
79.3% reported improvements in their quality of life; 90.7% found activities engaging and interactive.
Conclusion
Oasis@Outram created a patient-centric, sustainable care model promoting dignity and well-being.
Lessons Learnt
Empowering patients to volunteer and contribute helps them find meaning in their remaining time.
