Increased clinical consumables led to more general waste, highlighting the need for better recycling practices.
Methods
Installed recycling bins, distributed visual aids, conducted staff education, and monitored recycling rates.
Results
Reduced general waste by 3.934 tonnes, saving SGD 297.80; improved recycling practices across multiple sites.
Conclusion
Collaborative efforts promoted sustainability and environmental awareness among staff.
Lessons Learnt
Visual aids and stakeholder engagement are critical for successful waste segregation initiatives.
