Aims
To improve adenoma detection rates during colonoscopy with real-time AI-aided endoscopy.
Background
Colorectal cancer is Singapore’s most common cancer; colonoscopy remains a demanding and complex procedure.
Methods
Implemented GI Genius™ AI-aided software in 50% of endoscopy facilities with training and assessment.
Results
Adenoma detection rate increased from 24.3% to 30.4%; 68.8% of endoscopists supported continued use of AI.
Conclusion
AI-aided colonoscopy enhanced detection rates and is planned for full adoption across the facility.
Lessons Learnt
AI can significantly improve procedural quality, even for experienced practitioners.
