Aims
To provide prompt response to patient concerns, strengthen KKH early warning system (KEWS), and improve patient safety.
Background
Healthcare staff needed support to promptly identify and respond to deteriorating patients.
Methods
Pilot Rapid Response Team (RRT) with scheduled rounds, early warning system reviews, and collaboration with primary care teams.
Results
RRT reviewed 66 patients in 3 months; improved detection and responses to deteriorating patients.
Conclusion
RRT improved patient safety and aims to expand hospital-wide.
Lessons Learnt
Regular reviews and feedback enhance team effectiveness and service reach.
