Aims
Minimize physical handling of activity equipment, introduce digital interventions, and improve participation in activities.
Background
Residents with psychiatric disorders faced challenges in cognitive processes, leading to stress and reduced activity engagement.
Methods
Piloted a program with Android apps installed on tablets for cognitive stimulation, involving pilot, training, and implementation stages.
Results
Improved resident participation, extended the program from 12 to 50 residents, and reduced staff workload through digital activities.
Conclusion
ESCAPE successfully scaled to involve more residents, integrating technology to streamline activities and improve engagement.
Lessons Learnt
Technology adoption positively impacts cognitive and physical limitations, enhancing participation and well-being.
