Aims

Background
Manual audit processes for non-approved abbreviations in case notes were time-intensive and error-prone.
Methods
Used data from eHINTS, implemented MACD processing, and redesigned the workflow for automation.
Results
Reduced audit time by 99.7% (from 960 minutes to 20 minutes for 80 case notes); improved accuracy to 91%.
Conclusion
Project ANA effectively reduced workload and improved audit reliability, showcasing the power of automation in healthcare documentation.
Lessons Learnt
Automation improves efficiency and reduces reliance on manual processes.
