About this Content
Aims
Understand public attitudes and predictors of E-Health acceptance for diabetes care.
Background
Singapore has high diabetes prevalence (11.3%) with increasing costs; E-Health could improve access and efficiency.
Methods
Surveyed 407 residents on E-Health readiness, attitudes, and sociodemographic factors; analysed predictors using logistic regression.
Results
50% not ready for E-Health; acceptance higher in younger, male, Malay ethnicity, educated, and higher-income groups.
Conclusion
Moderate acceptance; improving readiness can enhance E-Health’s role in diabetes management.
Lessons Learnt
Pilot programs and awareness campaigns addressing privacy and credibility concerns can improve acceptance.
Additional Information
Funded by NMRC; ongoing survey.
