Aims
To develop a system to improve efficiency in tracking podiatry assets and provide regular maintenance structure.
Background
Podiatry assets were scattered across locations, making tracking inefficient and causing delays during maintenance or audits.
Methods
Introduced color-coded relabeling, a masterlist detailing location and data, and checklists for each location.
Results
Reduced asset tracking time from 60 hours annually to approximately 20 minutes per retrieval cycle.
Conclusion
A systematic management system significantly improved efficiency, reducing asset retrieval times and minimizing misplaced items.
Lessons Learnt
Careful planning and resolving data discrepancies are critical for successful implementation.
