Aims
To enhance healthcare workers’ (HCWs) knowledge of PPE usage to prevent HAIs and improve workplace safety.
Background
Inconsistent PPE use was observed due to lengthy policies and a lack of accessible reference materials.
Methods
Designed a pictorial guide detailing PPE usage for various diseases; evaluated through pre- and post-implementation surveys.
Results
Increased HCWs’ knowledge scores from 54% to 81% post-implementation; received positive feedback on guide usability.
Conclusion
The PPE pictorial guide was an effective tool for improving HCWs’ confidence and knowledge, enhancing safety measures.
Lessons Learnt
Visual tools simplify training and improve adherence to infection prevention protocols.
