Aims
To explore how Occupational Therapists (OTs) learn to become educators to improve faculty development programs.
Background
Faculty development often combines formal and informal methods; limited knowledge exists about OTs’ perspectives.
Methods
Conducted six focus group discussions with 20 OTs (8 juniors, 12 seniors). Analyzed themes including mentorship, reflection, and learning through experiences.
Results
OTs’ learning begins as students, evolves through mentorship, structured feedback, and practical teaching opportunities.
Conclusion
Experiential learning models are effective for training OT clinical educators and sustaining faculty programs.
Lessons Learnt
Reflection, feedback, and mentorship are critical in clinical educator development.

Study findings align with Kolb's experiential learning cycle principles.
