Aims
To use the Theoretical Domain Framework (TDF) to understand older adults' perceptions of and attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccination.
Background
Vaccine hesitancy among older adults threatened Singapore's vaccination program effectiveness.
Methods
Conducted a stratified random sampling survey of 600 participants to measure trust, vaccine knowledge, and support factors.
Results
Identified trust in government as the strongest predictor of vaccine acceptance. Goals and optimism about community benefits also influenced decisions.
Conclusion
Vaccine uptake can be enhanced by addressing hesitancy through trust-building and targeted education campaigns.
Lessons Learnt
Clear communication and targeting trust gaps can improve vaccine acceptance.
