Aims
PX aims to be a self-help digital platform to change traditional work processes where patients need to meet Medical Social Workers (MSWs) physically for financial assistance.
Background
Previously, patients had to visit MSWs in person to apply for financial assistance, leading to long wait times and inefficient processes.
Methods
Developed an online platform allowing patients to submit financial assistance applications remotely, streamlining approvals and renewals.
Results
From Dec 2023 to Feb 2024, 257 patients used PX, with 174 submitting renewal requests and 83 submitting new financial assistance applications.
Conclusion
PX has improved flexibility and time management for both patients and MSWs. Future plans include expanding accessibility and refining the application process.
Lessons Learnt
Digital transformation enhances accessibility and efficiency in financial assistance applications.
