Aims
Reduce turnaround time of Means Testing (MT) for Financial Counseling (FC) through cross-training and workload balancing.
Background
PSAs experienced delays, cross-covering fatigue, and overtime due to uneven workload during peak hours.
Methods
Cross-trained PSAs, workload balancing between Wards and MT PSAs, monitored turnaround time improvements.
Results
MT lead time reduced from 5 hours to 3 hours; cross-covering incidences dropped from 10 to 6 monthly.
Conclusion
Manpower optimization reduced delays, improved efficiency, and enhanced staff morale.
Lessons Learnt
Cross-training optimizes resource utilization, reduces staff fatigue, and improves patient experience.
