Aims
To streamline the current process and reduce registration time to 5 minutes or less.
Background
The registration process for NOKs was time-consuming, impacting patient safety and lobby staff workload.
Methods
Value stream mapping identified and eliminated 12 minutes of non-value-added steps. Implemented a one-time visitor pass system and exit guide.
Results
Processing time for each NOK reduced from 15 minutes to 5 minutes. No NOKs were trapped at gantries.
Conclusion
Simplified registration process significantly improved patient flow and overall satisfaction.
Lessons Learnt
Streamlining registration enhances patient experience and reduces stress for staff.
