Aims
Automate FormSG email data extraction and reduce manual data entry to improve productivity and decision-making.
Background
Occupational Medicine faced challenges with manually processing large volumes of administrative data from FormSG surveys.
Methods
Developed an Email Listener Automation (ELA) system to automatically extract data from FormSG emails and input it into a database.
Results
Increased productivity by 93-99%, allowing staff to focus on more value-added tasks. Automation helped reduce errors and improved efficiency.
Conclusion
The ELA system improved operational efficiency, reduced manual work, and streamlined data entry processes, benefiting both staff and patients.
Lessons Learnt
Continuous user engagement and the ability to troubleshoot issues during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase were crucial for the success of the project.
