Aims
Implement a Nursing Quality Indicator Dashboard to monitor and report nursing clinical quality indicators efficiently.
Background
Previous data sharing methods were delayed and cumbersome, hindering timely decision-making for process improvement.
Methods
Designed an interactive dashboard using Microsoft Excel, incorporating statistical tools for data analysis and easy accessibility for all nurses.
Results
Improved clinical oversight; reduced printing costs by $272–$408 annually; data review interval reduced from quarterly to monthly.
Conclusion
The dashboard supported process improvements and enabled the Nursing Division to strive towards the Zero Harm target.
Lessons Learnt
Transparency and accessibility in data reporting empower staff to address quality concerns proactively.
