ICU/HD body part handling was inconsistent and time-consuming, involving multiple calls and delayed decision-making processes.
Methods
Developed smart-text workflows, reviewed with stakeholders, and conducted roadshows to educate staff.
Results
Reduced handling time from 30+ minutes to an average of 15 minutes; 80% compliance achieved.
Conclusion
The new workflow significantly improved efficiency and reduced staff workload, enhancing patient care.
Lessons Learnt
Standardization and cross-departmental communication improve workflow efficiency and alignment of goals.
