To enhance the onboarding experience for new hires by balancing high-touch and tech-touch approaches.
Background
Feedback indicated a lack of engagement and interactivity during virtual orientations for new hires.
Methods
Root cause analysis was conducted. Methods implemented include icebreakers, online quizzes, breakout room discussions, facilitator guides, dedicated infopedia pages, and personalized welcome kits.
Results
Improved satisfaction with onboarding, achieving a 4.3/5 satisfaction rate. Man-hours saved: 21 hours annually.
Conclusion
Balancing tech and high-touch methods enhances onboarding outcomes and efficiency.
Lessons Learnt
Interactive activities and personalized tools improved onboarding engagement without increasing physical presenter workload.
