Reduce time spent on manual processes (filing, sorting, distributing) to increase patient engagement.
Background
Care cost discussions involved excessive paperwork, leading to inefficiency and reduced patient interaction.
Methods
Implemented 3 phases using PDSA cycles: rescoping, document digitization, and redefining physical folders.
Results
Yearly savings: ~$10,800. Reduced time on admin tasks from 5 to 2 hours/day. Staff engagement improved.
Conclusion
Project improves workflow efficiency, reduces waste, and enhances patient-centric care.
Lessons Learnt
Multi-phase improvement ensures scalability. Digital tools increase productivity and satisfaction.
