About this Content
Aims
To provide a peer-supported digital platform to help patients access psychosocial rehabilitation for functional recovery.
Background
Many chronic mental health patients recover symptomatically but lack functional recovery due to insufficient skills and support.
Methods
Developed Healthy Mind Online (HMO), a peer-supported platform with video/text-based events and CBT sessions, providing practical tips and training.
Results
NPS score was 80. Positive feedback included improved resilience, confidence, and self-management. Reduced loneliness and need for travel. Employment opportunities for PSSs and PWDs created.
Conclusion
Peer-supported platforms improve functional recovery, patient connection, and resilience in an affordable, scalable way.
Lessons Learnt
Disciplined implementation, multi-skill collaboration, and lived experiences of PSS were critical. Effective adult learning methods (andragogy) enhanced success.
Additional Information
Participants continued support post-project; HMO platform was self-sustaining after 1 year.
