Manage patient flow from dormitory to prevent SKH ED and Isolation facilities from being overwhelmed.
Background
Outbreak at S11 Dormitory with 700 cases in 2 weeks, posing a risk of overwhelming SKH's medical capacity.
Methods
5-step ERM process: proactive risk identification, control measures, inter-agency collaboration, monitoring.
Results
Significant reduction in SKH ED visits (median from 13.0 to 2.5) and admissions (median from 9.5 to 1.0).
Conclusion
Timely management of COVID-19 outbreak through collaboration, mitigating risk of overwhelmed healthcare services.
Lessons Learnt
Forward planning and stakeholder engagement were key to mitigating risks and ensuring operational readiness.
