To assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding myopia treatment among Singapore residents.
Background
Myopia is a growing concern in Singapore, with low public awareness of control measures.
Methods
Cross-sectional survey of 853 participants conducted online.
Results
Low awareness of ocular complications and limited understanding of treatment options. Behavioral modifications preferred over evidence-based interventions.
Conclusion
Improved public knowledge on myopia treatment options and behavior modification strategies can reduce myopia progression.
Lessons Learnt
Public education campaigns must better emphasize evidence-based treatments and engage healthcare professionals in promoting awareness.
