Improve linen operation efficiency, productivity, and staff engagement using advanced technologies.
Background
Linen services were labor-intensive and inefficient, with 7.75 FTEs reduced and a 27% workload increase.
Methods
Implemented QR codes for Lost & Found tracking, Warehouse Management System (WMS) for linen top-up, and online staff training.
Results
Incoming calls reduced to <10/month; $735 saved annually on paper; staff satisfaction improved to 99.8%.
Conclusion
Streamlined processes improved operational efficiency, productivity, and staff satisfaction.
Lessons Learnt
Simplifying processes reduces time, cost, and increases productivity. Big changes start with small ideas.
