Background
The Job Redesign and Career Development initiative at Tan Tock Seng Hospital addresses challenges such as job dissatisfaction, higher turnover, limited career progression, manpower shortage, and lack of standardized job roles.
Methods
The initiative uses the ADKAR Change Model, integrating the TTSH Innovation Cycle through strategies like enhanced job satisfaction, skill empowerment, and collaborative relationships.
Results
96.5% of inpatient PSAs and 89.9% of CSAs transitioned to redesigned roles. Teamwork ratings improved, and role readiness and confidence increased post-pilot.

The initiative effectively enhances role flexibility, job satisfaction, and career growth, addressing manpower constraints and evolving healthcare demands.
