Methods
Piloted role expansion to Orthopaedics Consignment Set Assistants (OCSAs) to manage consignment set activities.
Results
Manpower cost savings of $42,191.60/year; improved workflow, communication, and work satisfaction.
Conclusion
Role redesign optimized workforce utilization and improved OT efficiency and patient care delivery.
Lessons Learnt
Role expansion reduced OT Nurses’ workload, allowing them to focus on clinical care and improving job satisfaction across teams.
