Aims
To automate MDS order processing to enhance accuracy and reduce manpower needs.
Background
Manual processes for MDS order processing were inefficient, error-prone, and hindered patient care.
Methods
Implemented PRS, SikuliX®, and FormSG collator for automated data extraction, order collation, and tracking.
Results
Saved 4.2 man-hours/day; improved data accuracy to 100%; enhanced overall efficiency and staff satisfaction.
Conclusion
Novel digitalization tools transformed MDS order processing, paving the way for further automation.
Lessons Learnt
Engaging stakeholders and iterative testing (PDSA cycles) are critical for successful adoption of digital tools.
