About this Content
Aims
Increase competency and adherence to infection control during pandemic resuscitations to 100%.
Background
COVID-19 presented risks of nosocomial infections, especially during aerosol-generating resuscitation procedures.
Methods
Cause and effect analysis and Pareto chart to identify challenges; developed simulation training programs and updated workflows.
Results
Achieved 100% competency in infection prevention measures; zero transmission of COVID-19 among HCWs during resuscitations.
Conclusion
Simulation training is essential for ensuring safety and competency during pandemic-related resuscitations.
Lessons Learnt
Frequent simulation sessions and iterative feedback are effective for improving adherence and competence.
